How to Play Roulette

Roulette is a game once associated with luxurious European gambling resorts that is exciting and easy to play. It offers Players a variety of wagers. The winning wager is decided by the random selection of one number out of a possible 38. The selection is produced by spinning a ball counter to a turning wheel. The wheel contains 38 compartments, assigned with number 0, 00 and 1-36, where the ball may come to rest.

Each Player seated at a Roulette table plays with uniquely assigned colored chips (non-value chips). The value of the colored chips is determined by the Player at the time of the exchange of cash for chips, called a Buy In. When a Player finishes, the Dealer will exchange the colored (non-value chips) for regular Casino value chips. Non-value Roulette chips are not permitted to be removed form the table at which they are assigned.

Play begins when Players place their bets by putting their chips on the numbered layout. The Dealer spins the Roulette ball in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. Bets may be placed until the Dealer announces “no more bets.” After the ball falls onto the number on the wheel, the Dealer places a marker on the winning number on the table layout and pays the winning bets.
